About Us

Artemis provides berry phytonutrient ingredients for nutraceutical and color applications in the food, dietary supplement and pharmaceutical industries. Products offered include fruit extracts, natural colors, and PhytoSolutions™ , which are proprietary formulas developed to meet targeted healthcare needs using its research-validated bioactive compounds.

Artemis also offers finished consumer products under its own Berries for Life™ brand and for private label. These include Berry Bites ™, a tasty fruit confection that helps families get healthy fruit nutrients into their diets, and a complete line of berry-based nutritional supplements.

Artemis is best known for its standardized anthocyanins from deeply-colored berries such as elderberries, aroniaberries (aka chokeberries), cranberries, and black currant.   The technical basis for its products is the use of sophisticated techniques to isolate and concentrate selected phytochemicals from berries. A key part of its success is breeding and plant cultivar management to ensure superior composition of its raw materials. Our research program, in cooperation with highly regarded research organizations worldwide, has led to the development of new products with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antiviral and chemo-protective properties. Artemis has received several grants and commendations for advancing research that links specific phytochemicals to improving health.
